Cucm upgrade

Hello,

I have cucm running under vmware using cisco ucsc-c240-m4s2.

Current cucm version is 11 and nowi want to upgrade to version 12.

When i try to order smartnet for ucsc-c240-m4s2 our distributor say this box already eol and eos. So here i need advice how and what should i buy for upgradimg my cucm to version 12?

the Smartnet is for hardware coverage only. It will not entitle you to UC software upgrades.

You must have a Flex agreement that entitles you to software and upgrades.

Your best bet is to contact your Cisco Account team.

Like @Steven L wrote the SmartNet for the UCS has no relevance for the upgrade of CM. That would be the FLEX agreement that does that.

Currently i have FLEX license and not yet used because if we want to apply the flex license the cucm should be upgraded first.

So if i already have flex license what i need is to knowing the agreement when i purchase the flex license? So with that agreement i can check if i possible upgrade cucm or not?
