Hello All,
I'm planning to enable the DNS for an installed UC environment in ver. 9.1.
I'll configure the dns server and the domain name for the IM&P as well as for the CUCM.
I already populated my DNS server with A/PTR for the servers.
What is the best way enabling DNS? I know the constraint with ITL for CUCM cluster but for presence cluster?
thanks
lorenz

My question was related with enabling DNS on the CUPS server.
I mean during installation neither dns servers nor domain were configured. I need to enable them now and I need to know if there is a procedure for doing this.
The links you posted are related with SRV records and trunks. This isn't related with my question.
thanks for your reply

The procedure is the same as you do for CUCM...you use the set network domain. I am not sure how this will impact certificates for the IM and presence server...You might want to check the IM and presence security or admin guide..
NB: if you want to use DNS SRV records, you need to define reverse lookup rules as well in your DNS server

Hello and for setting dns servers:
set network dns primary
set network dns secondary
what is the impact of doing this on the presence node?
thanks for your reply.

Please refer to this documentation.
You will need tp restart Tomcat service because tomcat certificates will be regenerated when you change the domain name. You will also need to set the sip domain on the server(s)
