Dedicated E1 channels for incoming and outgoing calls

Dear All,

Am using CME 8.6 connected with E1 to the pstn.

How i can configure the the first 5 channels for recieving only calls directly to the receptionist or the auto-attendent (plar opx), and the rest of the channels in a trunk group for out going calls added to the dial-peer??????

For the receiving only calls channels trunk group is also used?????????????

Hi Mohammed,

Configure the inbound and outbound dial-peers and assing the trunk groups accordingly let me know how it goes...

controller E1 0/0/0
pri-group timeslots 1-31
trunk-group Incoming timeslots 1-5
trunk-group Outgoing timeslots 6-31

That happens already automatically. You do not need to do anything.

can u explain how it happens automatically.? i want it to be as a trunk group , if the first channel is busy go the next channel , but i want only 5 ch for incoming..

You cannot control how many calls telco will send to to.

If you want only 5 incomong calls, you have to ask telco, not configure trunkgroup.
