With 3PCC models can someone explain the differences between the acronyms in the firmware? I know MPP, but what does MER and MES mean and what is the differences?

Where (provide links) are you seeing Cisco use the "MER" and "MES" acronyms? I have not seen either of them; context would help.

These are in the firmware themselves such as for example 11-1-MER-load. I don't have one in front of me for exact. But where a normal firmware for 3PCC would say 11-1-MPP some have MER or MES instead.

@Jonathan Schulenberg probably something like this:
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286319918/type/286320168/release/11.3.3%20MSR1
But I would say, it just stands for something like "Maintenance Security Release (MSR)" or "Multiplatform Security Release" or "Maintenance Emergency Release (MER)".
So just special phone firmware versions to fix critical issues.
@CLROSS So in my opinion, nothing really worth mentioning.
