Running CCM 4.1.3. I found out that the site that we are turning up has E1 CAS, and not E1 PRI like I had thought. We are using MGCP. I can configure the router (2851 with VWIC2-MFT-2E1) to use CAS, but I cannot see to get CCM to. Whenever I open the configuration on the port, it goes straight to the Digital PRI config screen without asking if it is PRI or CAS. I have tried deleteing the port, changing the card. The only thing I haven't tried is deleting the gateway itself, and I'd rather not, because it was a bunch of analog ports already configured and removing and readding those will be a pain. Any thoughts?

Hi Chris,
I believe this MGCP with E1 CAS restriction is still applicable in all CCM Versions**;
Restrictions for MGCP PRI Backhaul and T1 CAS Support
â¢Voice interfaces on the NM-HDA and the AIM-VOICE-30 are not supported.
â¢Integrated access, in which the channels on a T1 or E1 interface are divided between a group used for voice and another group used for WAN access, is not supported when voice is controlled by Cisco Unified Communications Manager through MGCP.
â¢T1 and E1 protocols, such as QSIG, E1 R2, T1 FGD, and PRI NFAS, are not supported with MGCP only with H.323.
**E1 CAS is not supported.

Cisco CallManager can use H.323 gateways that support E1 CAS, but you must configure the E1 CAS interface on the gateway.

That is the conclusion that we came to. We set it up as a H.323 gateway until we can get a new E-1 PRI out there.
