Looking for a solution where I can assign a block of DID's routing to our centralized CUCM environment for 911 purposes. The DID's reside on a PRI connected here at corporate, We have 20 branch sites. Can I assign / register a number for each site to the PSAP to be used for 911 dial routing. So instead of keeping 1 or 2 analog lines at each site for 911 dialing, use a pool of numbers at corporate for that purpose. All branch sites use centralized CUCM and SIP services here at corporate.

I have a centralized CUCM with about 160 separate facilities/locations connected. Each location is its own device pool.
I have about 250 different ERLs in Emergency Responder (2 ELINs per building or floor per building on multi-floor buildings). I use blocks of DIDs assigned to ELINs in translation patterns in a separate E911 partition. (689XX, 6408X, 6409X, 5-digit dial plan). None of the locations have specific lines for calling 911.
My group had access to the PSALI database and could assign the 2 DIDs to the particular location (building and/or floor per building). This function has been transferred to another agency.
When the return call from the PSAP goes to the DID assigned to the location, the call is routed to the extension which made the 911 call.
We have a dedicated PRI circuit for outbound E911 calls. Our DIDs come from the PSTN on multiple PRIs connected to 3945 routers.
The setup I'm using sounds like what you want to do.

Hi Bill,
This is an old post/idea that I am revisiting. One question. What is the backup plan if there is an outage affecting the connection between your local CUCM environment and your supported facility(s)? The PRI you use for 911 is also centrally located I assume. So if power goes out, or a facilities data connection is down, are you using SRST with POTS lines?
Thank you
Troy
