Enabling SHA512 on CUCM

Hello,

I believe we need to enable SHA512 on our Call Manager server I went to upload COP file for CP-840 phone which has a file type of SHA512 and it shot back a message stating "No valid upgrades found. The first node (publisher) must be upgraded before upgrading this node." I have the cop file ready for SHA512 but I wanted to make sure that we will have no issues with our current devices.

Will this effect anything installing SHA512 enable cop? If so what devices or things could possibly be effected nothing is really mentioned only to backup in cisco docs?

It will not have any effect. Running the installation for this just adds additional keys that are used to validate the update files.

Thank you for the confirmation on this. I saw a couple different forums on the web and wanted to confirm.
