Hi, Can i use Exchange server or ADS as NTP server for CUCM 7.0. If yes, request somebody else to describe the procedure. Users complaining that it is showing different timing on their phone and outlook. Thanks in advance !!

Hi Gajanan Pande, Thanks for your input.. Please find the attached screenshot of our subscriber NTP server configuration page. I am not able to add or remove NTP servers from this page. ADD/ REMOVE server option is not visible. Currently we configured publisher server as NTP server for this subscriber.

You can configure the NTP server settings only on the first node or publisher. Pls refer http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/cucos/8_6_1/cucos/iptpch4.html#wp1053371

Hi
Some general advice... You wouldn't use the customer's Exchange server as an NTP source just because their Outlook time is what they want you to match.
Their clients and servers including Exchange will be in a Windows domain and will synchronise to the domain controllers. The domain controllers in turn *should* be synced to an authoritative time server.
Windows servers run SNTP, which can sync to proper NTP servers, but not the other way round.
You should find out from your customer what time servers they sync their domain to, and sync the publisher to that same source.
