External Vendor SIP phone registration in CUCM11.5

Hello Friends,

Is it possible we can register external OEM apart from Cisco ,SIP phone to get register in CUCM.

Kindly advise with process..

Vendor for which I am looking for Avaya, Unify etc..

 Hope no license is required on it.

You can try third party sip phones

And yes it will take a license from CUCM

Do you have any procedure for it to do the registration..

do we have any list of the third party IP phone supported by CUCM?

Which part of the licenses it will consume.

what feature set it will support..

Kindly share some case study document etc for reference.

The procedure is just to try it and see what is working. Cisco doesn't guarantee any features to be working for non Cisco phones. But in general the phone has to support username/password and proxy server settings etc. And you have to match that configuration on the CUCM.

Have configured in the past some third party hard and softphones, and in general you can make calls and receive calls. Anything more is a bonus
