To send to fax server, you will need to configure T.38.

i am not able to configure this command on router
fax protocol t38 ls-redundancy 2 hs-redundancy 0 fallback none

Hi mohamed!
Let try:
Under dial-peer 77 voip:
fax-relay ecm disable
fax rate 9600
fax nsf 000000
fax protocol t38 ls-redundancy 2 hs-redundancy 0 fallback none
haha, I missed your debug output before add above configuration, with "Call entry (disconnected cause = 38 ... --> Let check H323 connectivity on port 1720 betwen router and fax server, it might be related to network issue
03-30-2013 06:12 AM
Hi Lan Pham,
Up to my kn knowledge the routing is fine, i can reache to my router and right fax server from anywhere in my network.
but i cannot say totally no network issue becoz the anlog line is connected in a branch and the right fax server is at head office. on the same router pstn phone lines also connected and working fine .
i tried your configuration but i think i missing somewhere...
thanks any way i am geeting rid of the analog line might get a chance to work on SIP line tommorrow as it is almost ready.
but the issue is the fax machine will now be connected on fxs port and sip line will be used to send faxes out.
so one more horrible day awaiting for me.
thankyou all.................
03-30-2013 06:17 AM
Before you worry about faxes, your voice call is not even completing. This is not a fax issue..This is a call routing problem
The dial-peer the call is matching is dial-peer 77. Is this th destination-pattern on the dial-peer..
The config you sent has a different number on that dial-peer..
dest=8355606
So you need to sort out the call leg of the call first..

Hi aokanlawon,
Yes you are correct the dial-peer dest number you found is the one i am using, which i replaced with a dummy a number but forgot the dialpeer to replace, i am sorry but my intension was not to mislead you .
but now i need to configure 1 line from 100 line sip channel for the fax machine connected to fxs port.
can you help me for that?
thankyou...
03-30-2013 09:01 AM
Hi Mohammed
you 'r welcomed, but I think the issue here may not be analong or not, it seemed your fax call had not reached fsx port, it is till going on with negotiation with the remote gateway of fax machine.
Note that even your router and fax server can reach each other through your network but it is just the completion of layer 3, meanwhille H323 and SIP signalling working at session layer (layer 5), and information of UDP port for real fax communication is determined in the negotiation of TCP port 1720/5060 (H323/SIP). So, if there is NAT or firewall in between of router and fax server, you first need to make sure the negotiation between router and server go into success, otherwise, your faxing may end up in failure no matter you get rid of analog or not.
