Hello all.
Maybe some one of you can recommend a nice Fax testing tool. The problem is that in our locations in europe sometimes we have Fax issues. To test this out I have an Fax with an internal line and a different Fax with an external line. I go to this fax and send test pages to location and did debugs on Cisco gateway to see what happen.
But maybe there is a nice tool that I can install on my workstation and connect com port to a ATA to send Test Fax ?
Thanks in advanced.

The test tool is debug commands on voice gateways and packet capture such as wireshark.
Some good docs:

Exactly, you need to understand how the fax protocol should operate, i.e. how the switchover works for T.38 protocol based, T.38 NSE based, pass-through, passthrough, relay, etc. and then using show and debug commands and if needed packet captures will show you if proper switchover, etc is taking place.

There is a full automated fax testing tool called FaxLab from QualityLogic. You can do exactly what you described.
