FXO and Valcome v-2001A integration

Hello,

I have been using this forum alot lately with great results so to those that have helped me, thanks!.  I am in need of some more assistance, I am trying to connect an FXO port to a valcom paging controller but with no success.

Here is what I have:

2911 router with a vic2 4FXO.

CUCM 8.5

Valcome 2001 A controller

router config and dial peer for the FXO 0/2/0 looks like this:

voice-port 0/2/0

echo-cancel coverage 64

timing hookflash-out 50

dial-peer voice 20 pots

description Plant Paging

service mgcpapp

port 0/2/0

forward-digits 0

I built out the FXO as a Loop Start. It is registered.  I then built a route pattern 1234 to route to that FXO port.

When I dial 1234 from a cisco phone I get "your call cannot be completed as dialed" 

What am I missing?

Check the CSS and Partition on the CUCM and the gateway fxo page.

I did find one issue with the CSS - now I get a busy signal.

Hi Troy,

Check if you have assigned the FXO port a DN (DIRECTORY NUMBER) 1234 on the CUCM page.

Hi Kevin,

Do mean an "Attendant DN"?  I know I can assign a DN for an FXS port in CUCM but not on an FXO?

Hi Troy,

     Now that we get a fast busy, could you please run :

debug vpm signal

debug vtsp events

debug mgcp packets

on the gateway and try another call. In case you do not have buffering enabled on the gateway, please use "terminal monitor".

Please share the same.

Do you have the batttery feed switch turned on or off on the v2001a?  It should be on for FXO integration.  Can you hook a buttset up and confirm the paging controller works fine without going through the gateway/CUCM?

No problem!  I've worked with a lot of Valcom gear in the past.  Don't be afraid to call their tech support.  Those guys are awesome!
