FXS Port can be used as FXO port

Hello everyone,

I have uc 520, i want to know about FXS port. As i know FXS port can connected to FAX or analog phone and FXO port connect to PSTN or CO.

My question is can i connect FXS to PSTN, so insted of 4 PSTN line i have 8 PSTN line.

no you can't do that. FXS can't be connected to telco company

Hi,

It is important to keep in mind that FXS ports should never be connected to the PSTN because the FXS interface emulates the CO switch to the endpoint device by providing dial tone and ring voltage.
