Gatekeeper Controlled InterCluster Communication fails with Cause Code 47

Hi all,

We are trying to communicate two clusters using Cisco IPT endpoints and Jabber clients. It works fine with Non-Gatekeeper Controlled trunk, but not with a Gatekeeper Controlled one. Also, the trunk works fine with Cisco IPT to Cisco IPT calls, such as 99xx to 89xx or 79xx.

However, It fails with origCause_value = 47 when making a call from Jabber on iPad to Cisco 99xx on another cluster.

Following is the configuration : 

Calling Party : 

- Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4

- Registered to CUCM v9.1.2 (ClusterA)

- Gatekeeper Controlled H.225 Trunk to ClusterB

- Region info : Audio Codec Preference List = Use System Default (Factory Default low loss)

                       Maximum Audio Bit Rate = G.729

                       Maximum Session Bit Rate for Video Calls = 384

Called Party : 

- Cisco 9971 registered to CUCMv8.6.2

- Non-Gatekeeper Controlled SIP Trunk to ClusterA

- Region info : Audio Codec Preference List = Use System Default (Factory Default low loss)

                       Maximum Audio Bit Rate = G.729

                       Maximum Session Bit Rate for Video Calls = 384

Can you provide "debug gatek main 10" from your GK?

Hi Fikri, Do you have a SIP trunk on both clusters or H323? From your description above, it's a little confusing. Please clarify that. Is it necessary for you to use a GK and not have a direct SIP trunk between the 2 clusters? (this would depend on the number of clusters you have) Cause 47 is usually a media resource issue or media layer timeout issue on the call manager. Please check where the disconnect for this call is originating. Thanks
