Getting NM-HDV-2V configured in a 2800 series router

Is there a trick to gettign the NM-HDV-2V to be recognized by the 2821 router?  My IOS  Version 12.4(20)T4.  When I do a "show diag" it says unknown Network Module.

Check the module again, as that P/N does not exists.

Please note, the recommend wat to add voice interface on ISR router, is VIC cards and PVDM2 modules.

The NM-HD-2V is a network module for holding VICs.  I have a VIC2-4FXO in it.

It is supported. Check the image you're usoing has voice support, or it might be faulty.

However as mentioned above, it is not needed on ISR router, for the reason explained.

I am out of HWIC slots.  My SE said to use the NM-HD-2V so I can support the additional cards.  I'll check the image.

Sometime, there are ways to consolidate interfaces placed in HWIC slots, and/or move them to NM slots.
