H323 and Third Party SIP configuration

I am currently using CUCM 9.1 and have 7 gateways of which 5 are MGCP and the other two are H323.

I have recent receive some Polycom IP5000 conference phones and, with a little initial difficulty, have configured these to work correctly as 'Third Party SIP Basic' phones through the MGCP gateways however they will not establish a call through the H323 gateways.

I have configured a Cisco7942 with the same configuration with exception to the Phone Type where the Polycom is 'Third Party SIP Basic'.  The Cisco phone works correctly however the Polycom phone will not.  What is unusual is that I have connected and registered both phones at the same time and the Polycom will make a call through the H323 gateways when the Cisco phone is also connected however, remove the Cisco phone and the Polycom phone stops working too.

Anyone able to assist me with this?

This is a Toll Fraud block , you need to use IP Trusted list on your H323 gw. Here is the link.

First please try adding this polycom phones as "Third party SIP Device Advance" , if that didn't resolve the issue then capture the console SIP messages from this polycom phone and send it across.

Manish

I have reconfigured the phone as Third Party Advance and have the same output.  These phones are new to me and I can browse to the phone and set logging to debug but how do you get the logs off of the phone?

I can test and get h225, h245 and cch323 logs from gateway.

Check this link last four pages.

The interface is different on these phones compared to the link.  There is no diagnostic link to download the files. See attached!

Then please collect CUCM traces and attach it here with calling number and called number with time.

You can enable "debug voice ccapi inout" and "debug isdn q931" on H323 GW to check whether the call is hitting on H323 gateway or not.

I have attached a log file from the H323 gateway and placed calls from 54194 to 91977400331.  The following debugs were run:

debug h225 ans1

debug h225 q931

debug h225 events

debug h245 ans1

debug h245 events

debug cch323 all

debug voice ccapi inout

Manish,  Thank You!  100% correct.

I have configured and everything is working now.  I shall make some specific changes.

  1. voice service voip
     ip address trusted list
      ipv4 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

Pull the CallManager traces from all nodes for an H.323 call.
