I am trying to do this setup for a user:
1. Since no remaining DIDs available, set the phone to use the main number extension.
2. User needs internal extension.
3. When user picks up the recevier, they should be able to dial out without pressing any buttons except phone number.
4. Need to set display name on phone.
Not sure how to acheive this.
I can set the main extension on the phone as the first button, but then phone shows no name, as the main extension has no name set.
If I create an external extension and assign it to button 1, phone shows name, but user cannot dial out, as no matching DID exists.
What should I do?
I thought about doing an outgoing translation for those new extensions to use the main extension number, but not sure how to do that, or even if that would work. Calls going out do not need to show users internal extension, and the users do not need to have direct incoming calls to those extensions.
