Hollo All,
Some of our admins are using window 2008 server and they don't have access to the directory option when using their softphones. The first 3 options (Missed, Received, Placed Calls) are available but not the "Personal Directory". Please note everything works fine for those using XP version of the windows. We are using the latest CIPC software and the CCM 5.1. Has someone faced this issue? If so, could you please share the solution?
Thanks,
MK

It sounds like a DNS issue, can you ping CM server by hostname from the machine?
Under enterprise parameters in CM you can chenge the directory URL to IP address of the CM server from the hostname.

Hi!
If you check the "Minimum and Recommended Requirements for Cisco IP Communicator" at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cipc/2_1/english/release/notes/ol113782.html#wp40874
You will see it's not supported on Windows 2008 server, only Vista, XP and 2000. So most likely as it's not documented it has not been tested.
