Hello Everyone,
I am using Cisco CUCM version 10.5
I am using auto registration for the phones. The phone screen shows "Requesting Service and then it shows Host Not Found" even if I am not pressing the services button. Is it some kind of bug? Has anyone come across this before?
This is happening again and again.
However this does not happen on the phone which I have added manually.
Thanks

You may be hitting Bug CSCum93997.
Symptom:
"Host Not found" message encountered on an endpoint auto registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Conditions:
This can occur if the endpoint is being registered to a server with a domain name configured, and the domain name is required by the endpoint to resolve the server's hostname to an IP Address.
Workaround:
Navigate to User->User/Phone Add->Universal Device Template. Select the Auto-registration device template, and modify the Idle URL field within the Service Configuration settings to point to the server's FQDN or IP address.
Hope this helps,

Can you provide some more details? When do you see the error? When the phone is trying to register, after it is registered, while on a call? Is the phone able to register normally? Can you make and receive calls? What model phone and what firmware?
Have you tried updating the firmware?

Hi,
This error occurs when the phone has registered. The phones get registered normally. I am facing this issue across multiple phones not a single phone.
I am using Cisco 9971, 7962, 7965.
I have tried upgrading the firmware but still the issue exists.
Thanks
