Hi all,
I'm very confused on how to link an announcement that is played when you call a specific DN.
For example when you call ext 1000 i would like it to play the announcement call RecordingWarning_00038.
I can't find an easy expalnation to achieve this!
Could you help pls?
Cheers
Alex

Once again, no way to do anything like that in CUCM, annunciator is only used for system message like "your call cannot be completed...", MLPP messages, etc.
Not for any kind of custom messages before/during/after a call to an IP phone.
Your only options are to do as mentioned with CUC, or with UCCX/UCCE.

You could create a CTI route point that defaults that extension to unity voicemail, and create a unity box that plays the message and then hangs up. Upload the WAV file as the greeting and you're done.

Yeah it might be a solution, But I really woiuld like to find some clear and concise information about the announcement.
Where to use it and how to implement it. Cisco Doc has been really confusing so far..

What do you mean by "the announcement"? Are you after a prompt that plays out something along the lines of: "this call may be monitor for training and or quality monitoring purposes" (or some crap like that?)

As said by jpm122, you can create a CTI route point (say 1000 which is your DN for which you want to play announcemt) and set the call forward all setting to VM.
On the Unity Connection, you can create a system handler for this extension 1000, and play the greeting or announcement whatever you want to play.. After this If you want any user to answer this call, you set the call-forward from Unity to your DN (say 2000)..
