How to manage session timeout on IP Phone ?

Hi, i am developing software on IP phones to manage emails, where user can enter email and password to view his inbox and send emails.

everything works fine as expected, my only issue is that i want to set a session timeout where if the user leaves the application for 10 minutes for example and got back and trying to use the application he can't and he gets redirected to login page again.

please advise how to do that.

i am using jsp and tomcat 7.

This is nothing to do with the phone. It's how you write/configure your application.
