Hi,
i'm just wondering what is the meaning of the setting "Use Forward Settings of Line Group Member" within the hunt pilot settings.
The documentation is not updated yet, i've done some test but i were not able to find out the proper use.
regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,
There is an open decumentation bug on this
Documentation of 'Use Forward Settings of Line Group Member'
Symptom:
From CUCM 8.6 to CUCM 9.0/9.1, we changed the 'Use Personal Preferences' field to 'Use Forward Settings of Line Group Member'. However documentation on CUCM 9.0 and 9.1 is not updated.
On going to Hunt Pilot configuration page on CUCM and then to Help -> This page, the HELP documentation under (Hunt Pilot Setup -> Hunt pilot settings) still mentions the old parameter name.
So this is just a rename for the above;
"Use Personal Preferences" is the setting that is used for Call Forward No Coverage (CFNC) settings for the original called number that forwarded the call to a hunt pilot.
Forward Hunt No Answer
When the call distributed through the hunt list is not answered in a specific period of time, this field specifies the destination to forward the call.
Choose from the following options:
Use Personal Preferences Use this check box to enable the Call Forward No Coverage (CFNC) settings for the original called number that forwarded the call to this hunt pilot.
The CFNC setting specifies a call forwarding reason that you administer in the Directory Number Configuration window. Calls get diverted based on the value in the directory number's Coverage/Destination field when a call to the directory number first diverts to coverage, and coverage either exhausts or times out, and the associated hunt pilot for coverage specifies Use Personal Preferences for its final forwarding.
Note: When this check box is checked, Cisco CallManager ignores the settings in the Destination box and Calling Search Space.
Hunting supports the capability to provide a final forwarding treatment to voice-messaging system, a specific dialed number, or some personal treatment (based on the original called party) when hunting either exhausts or times out. The capability to provide separate final forwarding treatment based on whether the call was internal or external also exists. Hunting supports a separate, configurable maximum hunt timer for each hunt-pilot number.
In the Hunt Pilot configuration settings, Use Personal Preferences Destination fields are available to enable the Call Forward No Coverage (CFNC) settings for the original called number that forwarded the call to the hunt pilot.

That answer is great, but that has to be the worst name for a setting in CUCM (which is saying something, as there are some really terribly setting names).
Which "Line Group Member" is being consulted to get the CFNC settings?

Hi All,
I tried using unregistered phone number as only member of the Hunt Group,
Forward Hunt No Answer
Do Not Forward Unanswered Calls
Use Forward Settings of Line Group Member
Forward Unanswered Calls to
As soon as the Hunting number is dialed the call is forwarded to Destination number. This option worked for me.
Thank you.
