While I am using CUCM V.8.6(2a) DVD to install the CUC . I could not find the option to choose The CUC product from the list that be
supposed to include the following
Product Deployment Selection
( ) Cisco Unified Communication Manager
( ) Cisco Unity Connection
( ) Cisco Unified Communication Manager Business Edition
Any Advice?

Hi there,
The reason why you are unable to select Unity Connection is because the hardware requirements are not met. For installation issues, it's always good to mention the platform on which you are trying to install the application on. Here is a link which should help figure out whether your hardware is meeting the criteria or not for installing CUC 8.6:

Hi,
if you try to install the CUC as a virtual machine, I can also recommend to download the a VmWare template from Cisco download site.
Then you are able to create new vm from it and your issue should be solved.

CUCM OVA and UCXN OVA templates are different as documented here, hence the reason you are not able to install UCXN on CUCM OVA template:

I suggest you read the docwiki pages as they provide all the details you should need:
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_Virtualization
It all depends on UCS server model and type i.e. TRC vs. spec based, deployment model, versions of UC applications you are installing, ESXi version, etc, etc.
HTH, please ratel all useful posts!

Yes, I am talking about OVA files. When you download it for CUC, UR probably able to install CUC or CUCM as well as License Server or basicaly said everything what you have available on your installation media disc. Because you meet the HW requirements.
But as Chris Deren mentioned, take a look to the wiki first.

Also, on the side note also avoid over-provisioning the UCS server. I don't think you'll be able to run all of the applications you mentioned. OVAs reserve the hardware resources I believe you'll run out of RAM and disk space.
