Incoming Call on CIsco IP phones

I am new to VoIP, I have a VoIP setup that incoming calls should ring on a particular IP phone within the organization. When the number is being called, it rings from the side of the caller but the IP phone the call is routed to does not ring. Calls within the organization to that particular IP Phone works. The last configuration that worked was compared to the current running configuration and they re all the same. What can I possibly do?

In the mean time, how do I configure on the CME if I intend to use another IP Phone.

There are various ways you can do it, you may try by creating the new dial-peer.

Hi George and Team

Havent tried the command yet ..was away. However, I tried to debug with debug vpm signal and received

033895: Feb 20 12:11:14.993: fxols_line_reversal_clid_wait. On_hook line reversal detected possibily due to crossed cable

DO I go on with command as advised or something is wrong with RJ11 cable or voice-port ?

Hi George

Hello,

Have you tried the dial-peer configuration that you described above along with the translation pattern that is included in this thread?

Hi George

Yes tried both. Still no change.

I see the below from logs

053714: Mar 4 14:40:30.339: htsp_process_event: [1/0/1, FXOLS_ONHOOK, E_DSP_SIG_0110]
053715: Mar 4 14:40:30.339: fxols_line_reversal_clid_wait. On_hook line reversal detected possibily due to crossed cable

Any suggestions

Hi George

Any suggestions at this point

Hello Experts

Can I get any help here please?

Have you tried replacing the cable and/or trying that cable on another working port to rule out a layer 1 issue?

Is the config on 1/0/1 the same or different than on other ports? (You posted a config earlier in the thread, but that was a long time ago.) I'd be wondering if there is a battery or plar related command that might be causing an issue.

Many thanks for response.

The config on 1/0/1 is different on other ports.

voice-port 1/0/0
connection plar opx 499
description MULTILINKSFXO 01-7641303
caller-id enable (NOT IN USE, HAD TESTED WITH IT BEFORE..SAME THING)
!
voice-port 1/0/1
connection plar opx 499
description VISAFONE 01-2910303
caller-id enable (CURRENTLY USED BUT DOES NOT PROCESS INCOMING CALLS-The problem)
!
voice-port 1/0/2
connection plar opx 499
description GSM
caller-id enable
!
voice-port 1/0/3
connection plar opx 499
description CALLCENTRICFXO 020-88199670

I will try and change the RJ11 cable to check.
