Hi All,
I have a H323 gateway (Avaya) added into a CCM 4.1.3 , when Cisco Phones receive calls from the Avaya gateway, the phones only show unknown number (external) but the Avaya phones can see the Calling Party Name.
Any idea what I should set on the H323 gateway configuration in order to get the Calling Party Name from the Avaya Side?
Please your thougths
Regards
Andres

You can not do anything on the Cisco to force the other PBX to send calling name.
If you can prove via debugs or packet capture, that the other system is not sending calling name, you must resolve the problem on the other PBX, not on Cisco.

For H.323 CCM needs to rec. calling party name in Display IE
in Setup or Notify msg. AFAR, CCM does not have support for
rec. calling name in Facility IE/msg. IOS GW has the ability to
format and send it though in Display IE to CCM.
A CCM trace will confirm if Avaya is sending the name at all
and which IE its using.
BTW, what CCM s/w ver r u running?
