Installing device pack on CUCM 11.5

Hi All

We need to install a new device pack on our CUCM v11.5.

I believe we don't need a cluster wide reboot on this version.

What I don't want is a mass upgrade of all the phones and only to support the new ones we want to add.

how do I stop this? will the phones only upgrade once you restart the TFTP service? would the phones also have to be rebooted to be upgraded?

Would I need to make a note on the device defaults page and then copy the existing load name and paste back in before I restart the tftp service ?

Cheers

Hi Carl,

you are correct.

Please review this document. it has exactly what you need.

CUCM 11.5 and later reboot is not required.

Yes, you are right. We don't need cluster reboot also we can avoid the mass upgrade by changing the device defaults.

Hi There

What would trigger the other phones to start upgrading? would they need to be rebooted or is it once you restart the tftp service?

Obviously you would need to change the device defaults before you restarted one of the above ?
