Intercom function via IP Phone Speaker?

Hello!

My company is trying to implement certain security measures for our building. We have a speaker system in place already throughout the building.

I know there is a way to use a Valcom paging system in conjunction with call manager as I've seen one setup before. But I am curious if there's a way in call manager to set it up where someone picks up a phone, dials a number/code, and it then links them to the speaker on the IP Phones in the building where they can make an announcement.

Is this even possible? Any info is greatly appreciated.

CUCM 9.1 now has support for one to many paging just as you described.

If you are running an older CUCM version you need to integrate with

3rd party application/kit like SINGLEWIRE (Formerly BERBEE) etc

You need to look at paging solution, with version 9 you get it for free for up to 50 phones in paging group.
