IP Communicator over VPN

Level 2

We are having some audio issues with IP Communicator over VPN. We have a ASA 5516x.

Scenario 1:

Office to Remote over Anyconnect - Works

Scenario 2:

Remote over Anyconnect to Remote over Anyconnect - Works

Scenario 3

Remote over Anyconnect to Remote over Native Windows 10 IPSec - Works

Scenario 4

Remote over Native Windows 10 IPSec to Remote over Native Windows 10 IPSec - Audio in one direction only

Both VPNs connect using the same DHCP pool, so all rules and routes are the same. Both tunnel all traffic. I dont see how scenario 3 works but scenario 4 fails if the issue is with the IPSec.

in most case the one way audio issues is  due to routing. check if u are able to ping each other(voice subnet devices) for nonworking scenario.

Hi,

Confirm that both client over native VPN are getting the right IPs from
same DHCP. This can be confirmed from the clients machine. Next, try to
disable windows firewall temporarily and see if fixes the issue. Finally,
on the IP Communicator check from the phone options and confirm what
interface is used for audio. It should be the VPN interface otherwise audio
won't pass.
