Hello,
We have several cisco IP phones 7965 which are working on SCCP Protocol, we would like to change firmware to SIP. I tired to do like Sreekanth Narayanan told in this discussion https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/change-from-sccp-to-sip/td-p/2769524 but without success, What do I need to change in xml file (SEP<mac address>.cnf.xm)?

As your phone is connected to CM you don’t need to do anything in the XML file. Just remove the SCCP configuration for the device in CM and add it again as a SIP device. Then reset the device and let it load the SIP firmware. There shouldn’t be more to this. One caveat, make sure that you do not have auto registration enabled. If you do the device will auto register and a new SCCP configuration will be automatically added. Touching the XML file is needed when you don’t have CM or CME.

Are the phones in CUCM or 3rd party call controller?

Thanks @Leo Laohoo for your reply,
Right now they are connected to the CUCM, but we would like to connect them to the 3rd party

If the phone is connected to CUCM, then the firmware will need to be set there.
If the firmware is going to be connected to a 3rd party call manager, the <loadinfo> tag will need to be updated.
