Currently, phones are on vlan 1 and getting a dhcp address. I want to change this and move them to a new vlan - vlan 5. I have done the following:
1) Setup the new scope on the dhcp server
2) Setup the vlan on the switche(s)
I reset the phone via CallManager and then add:
switchport voice vlan 5
to the port on the switch (just after I hit reset phone). The phone shows unregistered in CallManager. It appears that the phone does not get a new dhcp address on vlan 5. If I remove switchport voice vlan 5 from the port on the switch, the phone comes back up with the same dhcp address (from vlan 1) and shows registered. It is not a network (trunk) issue because I can add a static address from vlan 5 on the switch and access it from the router. Am I missing something? How can I get the phone to get the correct dhcp address (from vlan 5)?
