I need to restrict access to the settings portion of my IP phones 7975 from common users but I need to make sure admins after entering the password have access. The issue I am having is that the three defualt options enable,disable, restricted do not seem to give me any other options. Is there something I have missed?

what you observed is what you get, unfortunately. There may be some 3rd party apps that can do what you are looking for but I am not aware of one.

Hi Chris,
I believe the administrator has, all the access to view the settings of the phone on call manager admin page.
There is no need for the administrator to check on the phone to see the settings.

As per the chris there may be some third party application that can help you on what you are looking. Even i am not aware.

HI Benoit,
Please change setting to restricted on the 7975 configuration page and perform factory reset. Disable the PC VLAN access as well

And how would that allow administrators to view the settings on the phone?

From CUCM you can disable the settings, there are several options to choose from
But this is for everyone, there is no admin access on the phone
