After selecting using directory button, phone displays (requesting) and never connects to directory. All other Cisco IP phones in system work correctly.

What are your other phone models?
It may be an issue with SSL or name resolution. Check in Enterprise Parameters - verify what the 'secured' directories URL is set to. You can delete the entry to force it to avoid SSL, or just check the entry is valid and if it's hostname rather than IP based, verify that the phones can resolve the name via DNS etc.

In my case it is a Cisco 7940 model. Directory is not available when tried from phone. Only a single user facing issue. Don't think we need to check in Enterprise Parameter. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!!
