Is it possible to automatically disconnect calls?

Our overhead paging system is fed through a voice gateway. A couple times a week a user will leave the line connected which prevents anyone else from paging. I have to go and manually disconnect the call. Does anyone know a way to set a timer to disconnect the call after, say, 30 seconds?

We had an emergency today and were unable to make an anouncement. Any suggestions are apreciated.

Michael,

You might want to check out the following thread.

Also what CUCM / CUCME version are you using? If emergency paging is a priority you might want to look into Informacast.

Hope it helps!

Our CUCM is v8.6.2 (not express).

I have actually looked at a product similar to Informacast but we didn't have the bugdet for it at the time.

Informacast is now bundled in 9.1 and is available if you are running 8.5 or greater. You should be able to go to the download page and pull it down.

What type of connection do you have to the paging system?  FXO card?  FXS card?
