Re: Issue with ATA190 and Postage Machine Neopost IJ35/50

We deployed on our company the ToIP system, we need keep some old analog phone, so we deployed some ATA 190. Our problem is the following:

We have a Postage Machine "Neopost IJ35/50" connected behind the ATA 190, in order to send/recieve information to/from the post office.
The postage machine must make a call to 08 XX XX XX XX number to establish connection with , but they are unable to communicate with the post office server, and when i try to check on the CUCM logs there is not trace for blocked or transmited call from the ATA190.
From CUCM, we tried to modify the settings on this ATA 190 box as follow, but without success.

FYI: with the DNA the route pattern is routed there is no blocked pattern and i tried with an analog phone with the same result call success so the problem provided from the postage machine

Postage machines usually make modem calls. Cisco only offer a modem passthrough NSE based switchover for modems. If you do not have a CUBE termination for ITSP, you can configure that. Make sure the gateway config has the same protocol configured. GW cannot do a interwork for a protocol mismatch for faxes. Also, I would keep ECAN disabled.

Hi,

There is no CUBE between the CUCM and the ITSP there is a trunksip directly from CUCM to the SBC ITSP.

So if i understand, i must change tso parameter in my config:

Fax passthrough to NSE Fax passthrough g711u
ECAN ON to OFF

i tried this config but we have the same issue error server connection
