Hi All,

Kindly look into the below issue and assist on the same.

I encountered an issue in regards to call diverting from a Cisco phone.

Scenario:

Tried diverting the Melbourne reception number extension to Sydney reception. When testing the call does not connect. When checked setting from CUCM Sydney reception is already diverted to a mobile number.

Call didn't diverted is because of the Sydney reception line is diverted to another personal mobile?

Please advise and let me know if it's possible or not.

Thank you and kind regards

Bipin

If you forward Melbourne reception calls to Sydney reception and its ringing on the Personal mobile number, its because of the Sydney reception line diverted to another personal mobile.

if its not landing on Personal mobile number or Reception  phone , You need to troubleshoot.

You can try the below steps.

On Sydney  CUCM.

  1. Make sure that the Reception forwarding working from both internal and external call.
  2. If the above works fine and it fails only for the calls forwarded from Melbourne, check  on Sydney Voice gateway and if its first redirecting change it to Last Redirecting Number
  3. Check CSS configured on the incoming SIP trunk from Melbourne  and make sure its configured with right CSS which can access Reception Extension(inbound).
  4. if Melbourne CUCM is sending any extra digit, strip it.
  5. Run DNA for Trunk and check how is handled.
  6. Debug the Gateway( if PRI, debug isdn q931 and sip debug ccsip messages). If you see calls sent to ISP, note the calling number.

On Melbourne CUCM

  1. Check if Reception phone  has CSS which can access the RP configured to Sydney.
  2. RUN DNA from the reception phone and see what happens when you calls Sydney Reception.
  3. If there is any extra digit you use for calling Sydney, make sure that you use the forwarding with the same extra digit.

You can definitely do multiple call forward all, or diverting as you call it. It’s the calling search space for call forward all on each directory number that controls the forward on each phone. If there are multiple CMs involved in the call path you’d also need to check the call routing over the trunk between them. Especially check that the call egress from the CM where the Melbourne phone is homed and on the ingress to the other CM check the incoming CSS on the trunk so it has visibility on the Sidney reception directory number.

lets get this straight ,

when you call The Sydney reception line it diverts correctly to the Sydney reception mobile phone, but when you call the Melbourne line which is forwarded to Sydney it gives a busy tone or it announces that you call cannot be completed as dialed

when call from Melbourne line directly to Sydney Mobile phone dose the call go through ?
