issues between cisco phones and zero client

All,

At my organisation we have deployed over 800 zero client desktop devices Dell Wyse P20's and they are hanging out of the phone for network access.

The problem we are having is that the zero client is dropping from the network and we cannot figure out why - our estate is a pure Cisco estate and I'll describe the topology below:

Nexus 7010 core

        ↓

Cisco 3750 dist

        ↓

Cisco 3560g or x

        ↓

Cisco 7940 or 7960 with phone FW P0030801SR02

        ↓

Wyse P20 zero desktop

The Wyse p20's go back to a Cisco UCS platform where our vmware estate is running.

Now the drop off themselves are sporadic and drop out quite randomly. The zero client never ever drops when they are directly patched to a switch.

Has anyone ever put a dumb hub inbetween the phone and PC to capture the traffic?

Any help would be appreciated in this matter.

Thanks,

Tam.

I'd normally start with checking for the following

1. Check the switchport to see if there is any error msg was logged
2. Does the phone also reset when the zero client resets.
3. Anything logged in RTMT
4. Hard set speed and duplex on the phone and zero client.
