I have the jabber client running on my phone, which also has single number reach configured. When I receive a desk call, the phone rings for both the single number reach call and the jabber call at the same time.
Surely there must be a way for Jabber and single number reach to work together so they don't both ring the same device at the same time?

You can add a delay under remote destination and then remote destination will ring after expiry of respective timer.

Configure Mobile Identity on the Dual Mode Device this then creates Remote Destination with the Dual Mode Phone set to your jabber device.

The way to handle is not to configure RDP but Mobility Identify on the TCT/BOT device, this way CUCM only extends the call to SNR if Jabber Mobile is un-registered.

Correct - Adding Mobile Identity to the device adds a Remote destination that is linked to the dual mode device.

Thanks, Chris and Billie. You pointed me in the right direction, but I was still missing something and this helped: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/iPhone/9_5/JABI_BK_J38B2ACB_00_jabber-iphone-server-setup-9-5/JABI_BK_J38B2ACB_00_jabber-iphone-server-setup-9-5_chapter_0110.html#CJAB_TK_A372C03C_00
Thought I'd add my 2 cents
