Jabber - First step ?

Gents,

We have around 5000 users in my company. Most of them are using Cisco desk phone and some are using soft phone or both.

now, there’s a plan to use Jabber on mobiles, but before I submit my study, I have couple of questions:

Can Jabber Apps work on 4/3 G?

Do we need special servers or hardwares to enable Jabber connection from outside/inside the company?

Also, thanks in advance to whom will share me some guidance or steps to start Jabber enablement?

Yes this will work on mobiles (android and iphone) on 4G.

for this you need to deploy MRA, which requires you deploy Cisco Expressway C and E (in a pair). in conjunction with CUCM

Yes for both

For Jabber, you need IM and Presence application to be installed and configured. For external login for Jabber users, you need Expressways (C & E) to be installed and configured on VM
