Hello,
We currently use Cisco call manager but are migrating from this onto asterisk but using Cisco phones still with the SIP firmware.
Anyway our headteacher has an assistant. When the headtecher is on the telephone, the assistants phone has a light that is lit and this goes out when the headteacher isn't on the phone. The light is on a feature button. The heads phone is a Cisco 7970 and the assistant has a 7941.
What is this function called please?
A bonus would be if anyone knows of a guide on how to get this working on an environment not using Call Manager.
Thank you.

Thanks,
With that info i can now go to Google
It should be something configured on the phone rather than Asterisk, well i hope anyway.
I shall post my findings.
Thanks again.
