I have several MCS-7835-I2 Servers running CUCM 7.1
I want to buy a memory upgrade. MEM-7835-I2-2GB=
The MEM-7835-I2-2GB= memory is End of Sale...
The SKU MEM-7835-I3-2GB= IS NOT end of sale.
Two questions:
Can I buy MEM-7835-I3-2GB= and use it on the MCS-7835-I2 servers?
Is this TAC supported?
Thanks in advance...

No. This is a different version of IBM hardware (x3650-M2 in the 7835-I3 vs. x3650 in the 7835-I2).
I recommend ordering from an IBM partner if they can get it; or, third-party such as Kingston. The chassis should show the IBM make and type on it for ordering. This isn't really TAC supported either but is the only way you can really upgrade the servers. The problem is that IBM stopped shipping the part if memory serves so Cisco had to EoSale it.

FYI Per Cisco this is the full summary specs on the 7835-I2:
"The equivalent IBM part is x3650 Server Single Xeon 5140 2.33GHz Processor 2GB RAM 2x 72GB Hard Disk"
