MGCP issue

Hello everybody,

Please check how I can fix the situation, thank you in advance.

On a router I added the commands:
ccm-manager config server 1.1.1.1
ccm-manager config

The router pull from TFTP(CUCMv.8.) the config BUT only after reboot of the router.
Some of my colleagues are telling me it's a normal case.   But I haven't seen it in the official documentation, have I missed something?

You can see the situation in details here:

So in my case, I need to reboot the router twice to get registered MGCP gateway on CUCM.
What do you think about the situation? What I need to check?  Thank you or anyone for any comments.

Hi,

You don`t need to reboot the router but you DO need to reset the mgcp protocol.

ROUTER(config))# no mgcp

ROUTER(config))# mgcp

Thanks,

MK

Hi, thank you for your reply.  But it is not the case, I did it as well.

Hi,

Try to reset the MGCP protocol twice. For some reason the first reset doesn`t take place.

ROUTER(config))# no mgcp

ROUTER(config))# mgcp

ROUTER(config))# no mgcp

ROUTER(config))# mgcp

hi,

sorry no results.  I think it is rather a bug.  anyway, thank you for your message.

Dmitry looks like it is software bug

I configured more than 100 router using MGCP (28xx,38xx,29xx,39xx etc) I had some problems with registration but all of them was because of wrong configurations

Hi,

I can't approve it right now.  I will check it later.  Thank you for your clue.
