I'm in need a bit of clarification please. We have several branch locations with MGCP gateways, with MoH files loaded on them. These are custom files for each location and play when calls come in to these Gateways from the outside.
Question one is if an interoffice call is placed on hold will the music form the Gateway of the CCM server be played?
Question two, we have loaded a new file on one of the Gateways, but it will not play is there a good doc on how to configure a router for local MoH files?
Thanks,
Andy

Sure, if streaming from flash is configured, bsically the MOH is multicasted out to local PSTN and local phones (assuming proper config).
Here is sample doc on how to setup the streaming, you can also search this forum for this topic as this has been covered many times before:

Andy,
Keep in mind this feature is just CUCM tricking the phone. BAsically the flow goes like this:
CUCM will ask the phone to connect to a Multiscast Address and Port
The phone or GW will send an Multicast Membership report to the Address group to join the multicast group.
The local router that happens to stream multicast to the same Address and Port will build the tree as the source for the phone.
Therefore the phone will listen the MOH file located on the flash of the router.
There are multiple gotchas with this configuration, so it's helpfull to have a good understanding of the series of events.
