hi Guys,
I ran into an issue where site to site calling between cisco phones have no audio at all. within the site, it works fine. client is mainly using cisco phones 7841 and its cucm 10.5. I resolved this by checking the box "Media Termination Point Required" on phone configuration page. Normally we don't need this box checked . I am not sure why we needed MTP for site to site internal callings. could it be some port blocking between the sites so the it is invoking MTP? ( I do have MGRL assigned with soft MTP from cucm, yet I need this check box enabled).
thanks

You'll have to look at your network and routing to make sure nothing is preventing the RTP to be sent directly between endpoints, if there is, you'll need to either fix it, or keep using MTP/TRP for the calls to work.
