Hi,
Just wanna know the translation pattern for below scenario:
We have DID numbers of 23855XXX and 2399XXXX, I programmed one extension 55100 for one user on his telephone. If he dial any private number(PSTN) or any mobile number to outside, the number will appear like this 23855100. I want to create a new translation pattern, and need to appear 23995100.
Also, anybody call from outside(PSTN) to inside his extension(55100), they should dial 23995100 and landed to 55100
what is the possible way to change the translation pattern from 23855XXX to 2399XXXX.
please need a help to program in the CUCM.
Regards

For outbound calls the number displayed at the far end is controlled by the External Phone Number Mask on the calling line (or strictly Line Appearance). This is independent of any translation configured for inbound calling.
So if your user with extension 55100 wants his number to appear as 23995100 then set the mask to 2399XXXX.
If I've misunderstood then could you provide some more details about the configuration?

Dear Toni,
Thanks for yor reply.. Should i do the numbering mask in CUCM or E1 router? Could you please tell me the steps to do.
What about the inbound call ? if I call from outside( PSTN) to DID number 23995100 , the call should be landed to his extension 55100.Is it possible to achieve this?? if yes, please need your advice to achieve this.

The External Phone Number Mask is applied on the Line Appearance in CUCM. Down near the bottom after Line Text Label.
For inbound you would need a translation pattern translating 23995100 to 55100. Depending on you number range that would be something like 239951XX translates to 551XX. The exact format would also depend on how the numbers are presented inbound from your gateway to CUCM
