Hi,
I am trying to configure night service for a remote office on CME. I have configured the night service calendar and code as below:
night-service code *888
night-service day Mon 17:00 08:59
night-service day Tue 17:00 08:59
night-service day Wed 17:00 08:59
night-service day Thu 17:00 08:59
I have also configured the ephone-dn with the following:
ephone-dn 10 octo-line
number 310
huntstop
huntstop channel 8
call-forward busy 6000
call-forward noan 6000 timeout 20
call-forward night-service 5000
call-waiting beep
night-service bell
pickup-group 99
I have two questions on the above:
1 - Does the receptionist have to dial the night-service code to activate the service, or will it automatically kick in outside of the working hours specified in the calendar?
2 - Do I need the night-service bell command?
Thanks in Advance.
Phil

Guys,
I solved the problem that I was having. Just FYI in case you have to set it up:
The service doesn't kick in automatically at the end of the business day, you have to activate it from the phone.
When I dialled the night service code into the extension that was set up I would get the number unattainable tone.
I had added night-service bell command to the ephone-dn, but I hadn't added it to the ephone. This now allows the extension/phone to activate the service.

Night service should kick in automatically. It does for me.
I got the following config:
night-service code *26
night-service day Sun 00:00 23:59
night-service day Mon 22:00 09:00
night-service day Tue 22:00 09:00
night-service day Wed 22:00 09:00
night-service day Thu 22:00 09:00
night-service day Fri 22:00 09:00
night-service day Sat 00:00 23:59
Nightservice sender:
ephone-dn 3 dual-line
number 1002 secondary xxxxxxxxx
pickup-group 1205
label xx
name x
call-forward busy 3000
call-forward night-service 1023
call-forward noan 3000 timeout 10
night-service bell
Night service receiver:
ephone 24 is has the 1023 number.
ephone 24
no multicast-moh
device-security-mode none
mac-address xxxxxxxxxx
type 7975
night-service bell
At first I also thought my night service wans't kicking in automatically, but that was because of my router time. It's 2 hours ahead.
All the ephone-dn's have night service bell configured and all calls are forwarded to 1023. 1023 receives all the night service bells.

Configure the correct clock timezone and time will be right.
