hello Everybody,

on all shared lines on my CUCM, when a message is left, there is no MWI and  message notification.

for the other lines, it is ok. integration is with CUC.

any way to deal with this?

thanks in advance

Hi Abu,

It almost sounds like a CSS/Partition issue.

First thing to try , we need to see if dialing the MWI-On DN from 780 will light the Lamp;

To find the MWI - On DN (just in case

In CUCM look up the MW-On number (Feature>Voicemail>Message Waiting>Directory Number>Message Waiting Indicator On )

This will be a Directory Number like perhaps 2600. Go to the phone, press the Line 780 button, dial 2600 (whatever your number is) and the MWI Lamp/Icon and Message will turn on. This will test the ability for 780 to have MWI access.

If that does not work we can check the CSS (Calling Search Space) Partition for 780.

Cheers!

Rob

Hi there,

If these "Shared" lines are not the primary (Line 1) on the phones that

don't show any MWI or Prompt (envelope), look at this setting on the individual

lines or for the whole cluster

Device>Phone>Directory Number

(change from use system policy)

or

Clusterwide Parameters (Feature - General)

Message Waiting lamp Policy

the default is > Primary Line Light and Prompt

change to Light and Prompt > this will then activate the MWI for secondary lines

Cheers!

Rob

i did this already but no success.

i did synchronisation of the MWI too.

this was working before but suddenly stopped.

only happening on shared lines.

any more idaes?

is it secondry or prim lines

secondary lines

Hi Abu,

Can you please let us know what you changed? Was the change

done at the DN level or Clusterwide level?

Can we also start by looking @ just one example. Tell us

the "shared" directory number, if it has it's own VM account

in Unity Connection, what phones is this line on and if you have

listened to all of the existing VM messages before trying to test again

Cheers!

Rob

hi Rob,

i did changes clusterwide on service parapeters->prompt and light

then went to the

DN  configuration page and left it to system poliсy.had also earlier tried  manually setting it to light and prompt on the DN of the shared  line.e.g, i have a DN 780 that is configured on two 7960 phones with  same partition.there is one mailbox in the CUC for this extension  number.tried leaving voice messages on this number, i can listen to  them, but cannot get any notification when i leave a voice message
