Hello,
I have a client who has Polycomm VoIP phonse and I'll be deploying Cisco C3650 switches. The phones will be connected to ports on the C3650. I wanted to know if the same port configuration we use with the Cisco VoIP phonse can be used with other non-Cisco VoIP phones. Here's how I intend to configure the ports"
VLAN 916
name Data
VLAN 917
name Voice
sw#config t
sw(config)# interface range G1/0/1 - 15
sw(config-if)# swithcport
sw(config-if)#switchport mode access
sw(config-if)#switchport access vlan 916
sw(config-if)#switchport access vlan voice 917
sw(config-if)#exit
Thanks in advance.
Best, ~zK

enable the lldp on the switch and 917 suppose to voice vlan. non-cisco phone support lldp when using cisco switches

Thank you, Nadeem.
I'm assuming that only VoIP phones would be plugged into the port, correct? But, what if we need to configure the port where we can plug a PC only and at other times plug VoIP phones? Which config would be correct?
Thanks, ~zK
