Old phones in new CUCM version

Hello!

Could I get information about which phone models will stop working with the next generation of CUCM VERSION?

I need to know the process 2 years in advance.

We are considering replacing old models and wondering where to start.

Best Regards

Google is your friend. Look for 'Cisco CUCM compatibility matrix'.

In two years Cisco will be looking at CSR 16x and there is nothing out about that yet. Here is a link to 15.x, though:

FWIW- We’re at the start of a new hardware generation with the 9800 series; they’re expected to last a decade. Cisco has not announced end of sale on the 6800/7800/8800 series since customers have standards but they’re over a decade old now. The plan, as I understand it, is to stop kill them off when either: 1) customer order demand drops substantially; or, 2) component suppliers run out and a substitute would require more engineering effort than it’s worth. So, if you’re going to sink money into IP Phones buy 9800s.

Cisco has publicly stated that there is no plan to depreciate any phones in future versions of CM. The reason for this is that they got so much bad will when they did this in prior versions.
