Hi, im my company we have a few configurations like that, a manager have a CFA configured towards his assistant, but some people needs to override that, so there is a Hunt Pilot, having just the manager DN int the line group, well, this is working fine, but, why? because i dont know why it works.
thanks a lot!!!

Hi
Basically the CFA, CF No Answer, and other settings on an individual line DO NOT take effect for hunt group calls.
If for example the first person in a hunt group set CFA on his phone to a mobile phone, and the hunt group followed this setting, then all hunt group calls would go to his mobile rather than the other hunt group members.
So for hunt group calls, only the CF No Answer and CF Busy etc on the Hunt Pilot are active.
In your example, the manager has his phone set to CFA to go to his assistant. If you call him directly, it goes to his assistant.
If the hunt group is called, it ignores his personal CFA setting, so he gets the call anyway.
There is a feature called 'call forward override' that you can enable in CUCM Service Parameters that allows the person (the assistant in your case) to call the person that has forwarded their phone to the them - overriding the CFA automatically. It only works for the person who is the target of the CFA, so if you have other people needing to override the CFA you would still need to use the hunt group workaround.

Thanks, it was just curiosity, the problem is that when the assistant its not on her desk, he has another assistant, so she have to be able to forward call to him.
Thanks!!!

Hi
Yes - it's a fairly common scenario :-)
