Level 1

Hi guys.

I'm in need of assistance.

I'm troubleshooting registration errors on a CUCME, the Cisco SIP 7841 phones, downloads the config, but reports "Error verifying config info".

-Load file has been present in config but removed to see if it helped.

-No create profile/create profile - done many times (after every conf change).

-Phone has been powercyled / reset / factory reset

-Phone cnf.xml has been deleted from flash:

-Ntp server has been added to phone cnf.xml

Did you get anything in the debug ccsip messages?  Authenticate register not required if you want CHAP method to imply on the server. if not given even though phone will register with normail Register with 200ok messages.

Br, Nadeem Please rate all useful post.

Agreed with Nadeem. Authenticate register isn't needed since your phones are in the LAN of the CME. Also, the username and password isn't needed.

You need to configure bind source command under voice register service > sip.

Also, I noticed that you are using HSRP VIP as the source for your CME which isn't correct. You need to use the real IP of the interface because the packets initiated by CME will use real IP (not VIP).

Make these changes and if didn't work please share the output of debug ccsip message

Made the following changes:

!
ip dhcp pool PABX
 network 10.85.188.0 255.255.255.192
 option 150 ip 10.85.188.3

After this i did a no create profile/create profile.

Now Im awaiting test results to see if it helped, have turned on debug of ccsip and tftp - will post results here if its not working

Thank you again.

Hey guys.

Thank you for all the replies.

I will run several tests, ending with auth - since it shouldn't be nessesary.

Will let you know what the outcome is.

*btw I get no output from debug ccsip - only from 3rd party devices *some header info messages.

Again - thank you very much for taking the time to reply!

Best regards

Magnus
